PostSubject: Apogee Jam Cables   Fri May 16, 2014 8:06 pm

OK, this isn't a big deal, just a little deal for Garage Band.

I recently learned that if you bought a Jam before they came with both wide iPad/iPhone cables and the new lightning cable, you could buy one from Apogee. I recently replaced my iPad 2 with an iPad Mini Retina--love the smaller format!

But, with the cost of the cable and $15 S&H (bullshit!) the lightning cable would cost me half of what the Jam costs, $99.

But, if you have Amazon Prime, I was able to get it for $30, with free shipping! Meanwhile, an Otterbox Defender at Staples, AT&T or BestBuy is about $70-$99. But, again, on Amazon Prime, it was about $35.

But I just don't get how Apogee can ask $15 to ship a cable the size and weight of a 3' USB mini cable.
